1. We believe the Bible, both Old and New
Testaments, to be God breathed and without error in the
original documents, the final authority for faith and
practice, and the new revelation ended with the completion
of the New Testament. (Deuteronomy 4:2; Proverbs
30:6; II Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 1:1-2; Revelation
22:18-19)
2. We believe that there is one holy,
perfect God who created all things, and who is eternally
existent in three equal persons: Father, Son and Holy
Spirit. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; II
Corinthians 13:14; Colossians 1:16-20, 2:9; I Peter
1:2)
3. We believe in the deity of our Lord
Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth - becoming man without
ceasing to be God, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in
His substitutionary death on the cross by which we have
redemption through His shed blood, in His bodily
resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the
Father where He serves us as our only mediator and high
priest. (Matthew 1:20-23; John 10:27-30, 38; Acts
1: 9-11; I Corinthians 15:4; II Corinthians 5:21;
Ephesians 1:7; I Timothy 2:5; Hebrews 1:3, 4:14-16,
7:25; I Peter 3:18)
4. We believe that for the salvation of
lost and sinful man, rebirth by the Holy Spirit is
essential. This rebirth is a result of God's choosing
and by God's grace through God's gift of faith in Christ
alone. Furthermore, once this salvation is received,
it is assured and sealed eternally. (John 10:27-30,
15:16; Romans 8:38-39; Ephesians 1:13, 2:8-9; I John
5:10-13)
5. We believe in the present ministry of
the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling and baptism, occurring
at the moment of salvation, the Christian is enabled to live
a godly life through the Holy Spirit's continual filling
(control) as a result of obedience to the Word. It is
the duty of every Spirit filled Christian to demonstrate the
fruit of the Holy Spirit and utilize his spiritual gifts
under submission to the church leaders according to Biblical
principals only. (John 14:21, 16:7-8; I Corinthians
1:7, 12:13, 14:22, 32:40; Galatians 5:22-23; Ephesians 5:18;
I Peter 4:10)
6. We believe in the blessed hope and in
Jesus' personal, premillennial return in power and glory.
(Matthew 24:44; I Thessalonians 1:10,
4:13-18; Titus 2:13; Revelation 20:4)
7. We believe in the resurrection of both
the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto
resurrection of life and they that are lost unto the
resurrection of damnation and everlasting conscious
punishment. (Isaiah 66:24; Matthew 25:41, 46; I
Corinthians 15:21 -22; Revelation 20:11-15)
8. We believe in the spiritual unity of
believers in our Lord Jesus Christ, experienced fully only
through the application of both sound Bible doctrine and
Christ-like love. (John 17:21-23; Ephesians 4:1-16)
9. We believe baptism and communion are
ordinances, (acts of obedience), to be administered to born
again Christians only. (Matthew 3:13-17, 28:19;
Acts 2:41, 8:26-28; I Corinthians 11:23-30; Colossians 2:12)
10. We believe in the great commission to
make disciples, who in turn become disciple makers - a time
consuming process of growth through study of the Word,
prayer, obedience, fellowship, and witnessing, evidenced by
a total surrender to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, and not
to be short circuited because of an emotional experience or
feelings in lieu of Biblical facts and faith. (Matthew
28:18-20; Luke 9:23; Galatians 1:6, 2:20; Ephesians 4:11-16;
Colossians 2:6-10; II Timothy 2:2, 15)
11. We believe all the saved should live in
such a manner as not to bring reproach upon their Savior and
Lord but rather to attract people to a personal relationship
with the Lord Jesus Christ. (Romans 12: 1-2, II
Corinthians 6:14- 7:1; Colossians 3:17,23; II John 9-11)
